Timebar

The graph browser timebar mode visualizes and filters nodes and edges based on their time data. All items between the two vertical boundaries is shown on the graph and everything outside of them is hidden. The timebar has two visualization modes, histogram and dots. Use the planet button at the bottom of the time bar to toggle between modes.

Histogram visualization mode

In histogram mode, nodes are shown as histogram bars, with bucketing size varying based on zoom level. Selection is shown as a line graph overlaid on top of the histogram. The number of lines is equal to the number of entity types in the selection, and they’re the color assigned to the entity type they represent.

Dots visualization mode

In dots mode, each node is shown as a large dot laying on a line that represents their entity type. Vertical lines are drawn starting from dots, connecting them to the entity type line of nodes with which they have edges in common. Selection moves dots in a dedicated line.
